Tradesmen International, America's elite skilled labor force, is seeking experienced Structural Welders
Pay for Structural Welders is $24.10 Per hour and $136 per diem. 5 x 8s with some overtime and a shift differential. In order to get per diem the employee must live more than 75 miles away from Ingalls and provide a utility bill (electric, cable, water, phone or gas) the bill must have their name on it and be no more than 30 days old. If they do not have the utility bill, they can provide a lease agreement which states that all utilities are included.
They also must provide a drivers license or photo ID, SS card and either a birth certificate or pass port. If they are a permanent resident they must provide their permanent residency card.
They must be able to pass a hair follicle test - HFT goes back 90 days and a background check - Having a felony does not necessarily disqualify candidate, but application with disclosure of charges and explanation must be submitted prior to scheduling for testing for security approval. Also, any former Ingalls employee must be submitted for re-hire eligibility prior to testing.
They will first have to take a written test which consists of 30 questions. Test will be on safety, Welding Defects, Welding Symbols and Boat Orientation.
For the structural welding position the test will be: (2) 6 plate with Permanent Backing Strip Vertical Up (Fluxcore & Stick-welding rod 11018) and an outside simulation of a boat in all positions 2G, 3G and 4G with Fluxcore and Stick (11018)
