Position Description: Lead Service Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
Installation supervision, system commissioning, customer training and service of governor, control and protection systems for hydroelectric generation facilities, handling of customer calls and trouble shooting.
REQUIREMENTS
Technical degree with 10 years' experience with digital/hydraulic governors, excitation, protection, automation and SCADA systems for hydroelectric power plants
Hydroelectric power plant operations and equipment knowledge
Strong conceptualization ability along with strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams
Strong leadership skills
Ability to travel in excess of 25% domestically and internationally
Able to perform all essential functions of the job
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Commissioning of governor systems
Commissioning of hydraulic systems
Commissioning of unit control systems
Design, develop, test and start up projects as requested
Develop customer training documents
Development and training of services team personnel
Ensure effective information handoffs
Ensure quality, budget and schedule performance for all non-project related services
Interpret electrical drawings
Interpret mechanical drawings
Manage commercial and technical aspects of warranty work for all projects
Minimize rework and warranty on all projects
Perform FAT, installation supervision, SAT, customer training and system commissioning as requested
Perform Installation Supervision
Respond in a timely manner to customer requirements for service
Support Engineering division as requested
Troubleshoot control, electrical and hydraulic equipment with limited knowledge of equipment
Troubleshoot PLC based control systems
Update existing and create new procedures as needed to improve commissioning and customer training services
Utilize electrical and hydraulic test equipment
UtilizeISO system to ensure quality products and services
Validating compliance of equipment to SAT documents, drawings, Engineering practices & standards
Work effectively with all other project team members such as control, electrical, HMI and mechanical disciplinesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
