This position offers a flexible work schedule, with the ability to work a hybrid schedule for the right candidate after the initial training period.
The Accounting Assistant works closely with the Finance Director and other members of the management team to process transactions across multiple companies, using accounting software to provide accurate data and analytical support to meet department deadlines.
Qualifications:
Accounts Payable or Payroll Experience +2 years Demonstrated ability to work in all Microsoft Office products Previous experience with Financial Software/Platforms such as Quickbooks, OneDrive Demonstrated ability to work in a virtual/cloud-based environment Excellent verbal & written communication skills Strong attention to detail & accuracy Ability to work independently on assigned duties Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines Accounting Assistant degree a plus
Responsibilities:
Responsible for recording, processing, and reconciling accounts payable invoices/adjustments as received Process employee wages and expense claims Prepare weekly & monthly flash reports for restaurants Prepare general ledger journal entries Carry out administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and processing mail Other ad hoc duties as requested by team members.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
