Major holidays off! Drive automobiles, vans, or wheelchair vans to transport passengers.
Transport customers or groups on a regular schedule with company vehicles.
Collect fares or vouchers from passengers and make change or issue receipts as necessary.
Communicate with dispatchers by radio, telephone, or computer to exchange information and receive requests for passenger service.
Operate vehicles with specialized equipment, such as wheelchair ramps to transport and secure passengers with special needs.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water.
Provide passengers with assistance entering and exiting vehicles, help them with any luggage.
Record name, date, and vehicle identification information on trip sheets, along with trip information such as time and place of pickup and drop-off, and total fee.
Test vehicle equipment such as lights, brakes, horns, or windshield wipers, to ensure proper operation.
Vacuum and clean interiors, and wash exteriors of automobiles.
