We are seeking a FINANCIAL COUNSELOR for Aspirus, Inc.
This position is remote.
This individual will handle patient credit and collection telephone calls.
The Financial Counselor will work collection accounts, tracking all activity, make collection phone calls, prepare and send collection letters, discuss payment arrangements, prepare accounts for collection and transfer accounts to outside collection agencies.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of basic accounting, patient financial practices, and governmental and legal rules and regulations related to collection activities normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma.
Previous Rev Cycle experience in HealthCare - Required OR Previous experience with collections - Required.
Technical school or college majoring in some aspect of a health information program desired.
Knowledge of medical terminology desired.
Prior experience in healthcare collections desired.
Previous financial or medical insurance experience beneficial.
Hours:
Full-time 1.
0 FTE, Monday - Friday day shift hours 7:
00AM to 4:
30PM.
80 hours per pay period.
