Day Aspirus Wausau Hospital is currently seeking a Radiology Archive Technician in Wausau, WI to join the Enterprise Imaging Team.
The Aspirus Enterprise Team focuses on providing quality and timely management of imaging exams and is a collaborative, patient-centric Information Technology Department.
This position is responsible for radiographic and/or mammographic image/film management.
Processes requests for film/image retrieval, maintains patient image records, loads image studies into the PACS system, assists patients with obtaining needed records for referral to outside facilities, and other duties as assigned.
Image/Film Management Performs day-to-day file maintenance of medical record and image archive system including outside exam clean up, uploading CDs and utilizing cloud-based applications to move images.
Acts as a liaison between the Radiology Department and other hospital departments, Aspirus entities, non-Aspirus hospitals and clinics, and other select physician practice entities regarding computer system development and problems.
Receives requests for information regarding patient imaging exams; answers routine inquiries from hospital staff, physician, and physician office staff regarding the existence and/or whereabouts of films; removes requested x-ray films as appropriate; dispatches films following established procedures; and maintains computerized log of films removed.
Correlates radiographic reports with appropriate order and files into digital patient film jacket.
Investigates situation and problem solves to ensure every order is matched with a report.
Experience/Qualifications Knowledge of office procedures in a healthcare environment and radiology standards and procedures normally acquired through graduation from High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Formal typing/computer courses beneficial.
Courses in anatomy and physiology or medical terminology beneficial.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
