We are seeking a PATIENT REGISTRATION for the Emergency Department in Wausau, Wisconsin at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
The job responsibilities of the Patient Registration - HUC are categorized into three unique roles within the Emergency Dept.
Each area requires training and knowledge that will enhance the direct service of patient care within the department.
All require computer knowledge, Epic expertise, medical terminology, and customer service skills.
The Emergency Services Patient Registration - HUC role is vital in assisting the patient with multiple aspects of their visit as well as supporting the ED providers and the day-to-day functions of the department.
Hours:
This position is Part - Time 0.
6 FTE or 24 hours per week.
Varied shifts.
Experience/Qualifications/Licensure Knowledge of office procedures in a healthcare environment normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with formal typing/computer courses beneficial.
Acute care environment experience beneficial.
Previous customer service recommended, but not required.
Possesses knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to process orders accurately.
Possesses basic computer skills.
Is a dynamic, positive, caring and compassionate individual with a desire to provide excellent customer service all staff, patients and visitors.

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is the flagship of the Aspirus system that serves patients in 14 counties across northern and central Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
It is a licensed private/not-for-profit facility with 325 beds and staffed by 350 physicians in 35 specialties.
Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a Level II trauma center that provides primary, secondary and tertiary care services as a regional referral center.
Specialty referral service emphasis exists in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics and cancer.
The hospital has an average daily inpatient census of 220 with approximately 15,000 admissions per year.
